1603- Queen Elizabeth (not a king) dies and James I becomes king 1625- Charles I becomes King 1648-Charles I executed 1649-Cromwell comes into power 1658-Cromwell dies and his son takes over 1660-Charles II becomes king ad restores the English Monarchy (and ultimately ends the civil war)
Dictionary.com's definition is . to contain or represent in small compass; serve as a typical example of; typify: This meadow epitomizes the beauty of the whole area.
I think its just basically to make an example of, and to strive to be like someone else.
Does anyone remember the example of the conceit from that the Holy Sonnet 14 quiz? I know what a conceit is, just need to know where it was in the poem! Thank you!
